WiiKEND
My Wii bundle arrived at 10:30AM on Thursday. Thursday night the family arrived about 10:30 PM. They left Lafayette,LA after Eric got off of work at 1:00PM. We stayed up talking until 1:00AM. Friday morning we all went swimming at the neighborhood pool then we all went shopping in Frisco. Afterwards I set up the Wii and we all played for hours. I set up the wireless SSID and WEP to that of our router that night...and downloaded the internet channel! It is pretty awesome!
Here is Eric bowling right before he hit Payton in the head with the Wii remote:

On Saturday we took the DART into Dallas to go to the Zoo. It was a fun day. We were not worried about it being too hot, but more so that it might rain on us!
Here is Cameron right before the bird flew on his shoulder:

Here is the only 3 headed lizard of its kind, found only at the Dallas Zoo:

I have some other zoo pics that I will share in tomorrow's post. We only saw about half of the zoo, because the kids (and adults) were kind of worn out by about noon. We went back into Plano via the DART and had ate some Mexican food at On the Border...the manager: Bo Jones really went out of way to give us seating at a short notice. Afterwards we went home and you guessed it, played some more Wii, then went swimming again. I am pretty sure Eric will be buying one real soon! Actually I wouldn't be surprised if Mimi and Poppee got one too!
Sunday, the family left at about 1:20PM and arrived in Lafayette area about 8:15PM. We miss them already! Jenny and I hugged and teared up a little bit when they left...then we went and played the Nintendo Wii!

Last Night
12:30AM...The electricity kicked back on...what time did it cut off you ask? No clue! All I know is that Jenny and I woke up with a blinding light...Our ceiling fan has a special feature that when the electricity comes on (after being off) it defaults to the light on high. So, after the rude awakening it was hard to go back to sleep. After getting out of bed and putting a cup of hot cocoa on I noticed a glowing light shining through the blinds on the backdoor window! I walk over carefully every step closer hearing a louder hum. When I arrived at the door it was very loud and sounded like an idling car. I quickly opened the door...there was nothing there!
I then went back to sleep.
I woke up again around 2:30AM and I could hear the same sound from upstairs. So, I got out of bed and walked over to the stairway landing and took a gander at the back door...sure enough there was the light shining through the backdoor window.
I proceeded slowly down the stairs and quietly towards the backdoor, making a quick stop for my nun-chucks. I didn't turn the lights on. I opened the backdoor fast and the light went out quick. I saw that it came from above the fence. I ran and opened the gate and saw the light moving quickly down the green belt. I made a bolt after it, constantly doing tricks and menacing moves with my black nun-chucks. I was catching up to it...now I could see it was a person.
I got closer still and could see it was a flashlight that produced the light on the backdoor window.
I finally was within range and delivered a small blow to the right knee. The person performed fire safety rule number one very fast.
It was a kid about 21 I figure from the tattoo on his arm that said, "Born in 1986". In his right arm he carried a small radio with an external speaker that was playing the recorded hum sound. In his left arm he had the flashlight. On his face: FEAR. I didn't realize it until I saw his look of fear, I was in Bruce Lee attire. I just so happened to be wearing my black pajama pants, I was barefoot, had no shirt on, and of course was yielding awesome nun-chucks.
I questioned him as to what he was doing.
He said he was messing around. I told him to stay off the drugs and tied him up with tie-wraps until the police arrived.
When I called the police and described where my house was...they said:"We know the spot"!
So, to say the least I am a bit tired today at work.
Hope you all have a great day! If you take away anything from this experience I have shared with you today, take this: Don't assume there are aliens when you see a bright light and hear a humming sound!

From the weekend before the fourth
It is another blog of pictures and commentaries! Back of course by popular demand...back since last blog pot!!! I have a great selection today: some pictures of family and some before and after pictures of our backyard fence. I know you are ecstatic!
My Sister Christina and her baby Laila.

Amber, Payton, Eric, and Cameron at Texas Roadhouse. Eric and I picked our own 22 ounce steaks and Cameron got a 16 ounce steak.

Mimi and Poppee they each had a steak also.

Jenny and I sitting on the couch at Mimi and Poppee's after we finished eating steaks.

Payton was sad because she didn't get a steak. So we got her a 8 ounce filet mignon.

Before and after pictures of the backyard with our new fence:

Yeah, I know, it is great!

We had to have it all changed because the fence was stolen. Turns out it is happening in a lot of neighborhoods. I heard somebody in North Dallas got their whole house stolen, brick by brick.

It is cedar and smells like cedar...and if you like the way cedar smells then it smells real good!

Of course the fence crew blocks me in, so I had to drive on the sidewalk to get out for work. I tell you it must be some kind of worm whole or star gate right underneith our driveway...because the poh-leese, fence people, and no telling how many people have parked there! There cars get sucked into that spot for some bazaar reason!
