The weekend was a good time for the Hojati branch in Plano. We had a good time even though there was freezin rain! We spent a lot of time indoors. All of the following family members came visit J-Rene (Jenny) and Myself:
Poppee (Danny)
Mimi (Brenda)
BeanBean (Eric)
Ambrosia (Amber)
Cameroni (Cameron)
PayPay (Payton)
Those who didn't make it:
Rebequita (Becky): had to go to an award ceremony for her work: Congrats on making Outstanding Waitress!!!!
Gouda (Amy): had to stay behind and make the coffee...almost like the donut guy, who had to make the donuts!
The family arrived Friday about 5PM...We had a delicious meal of non-spicy gumbo made by the local chef for the Hojati branch in Plano. The rest of the night was commenced with singing, laughing, telling stories, playing games, acting out theatrical plays, and making a snow man army in the enormous backyard.
Saturday was game day! We spent the whole day getting ready for the big game: The New Orleans Saints vs. The Philadelphia Eagles! We started off early in the morning preparing ourselves with a family breakfast of raw eggs and red bulls...then we jogged for about one hour in the snow. After we went to the scrap bucket scrap bookstore so Ambrosia could get supplies to make a LO (LO= layout for you non-scrappers) for the big game. We then went to the Golf Smith store so BeanBean could get some golf turf to lay on the living room floor for the game celebration. We then went to The Shoe Pavilion to get PayPay some Cleats for the big pre-game Adults against kids ( we beat them so bad...somebody called child protection for hurting their self esteem ). We then went to Walmart to get the wings. Which the local Hojati Branch Chef marinated until game time. BeanBean was so excited about the big game he could almost not contain his joy...spontaneously every so many minutes singing with Joy: When the Saints Go Marching In, while Poppee played an invisible saxophone.
While watching the game with our saints jerseys on, we were constantly trying to re-enact the saints plays, it was a blast.
After our team won: Cameroni jumped up and Said: Who Dat? Whooo Dat goin Beat those Saints? Who Dat?
We all joined in on the Chorus as we got ready for Mid Night Bowling...Ambrosia really wanted to go Bowling...which was a great idea, even though we had to go out in the freezin cold and the dark of the night we had a great time at the bowling alley! I bowled my first 245 game!
Sunday we spent a lot of time outdoors walking through the winter forest nearby. It was beautiful walking near snow-clad evergreens with the wonderful pine smell in the air.
There was a blizzard a coming and the family had to be headin yonder east then south to get clear of the blizzard: So they left early around 10:30AM. J-Rene and Myself waved goodbye in the doorway of our abode as we watched them back out of our garage, we cried for about 2 hours in each others arms.
MawMaw called after they left and comforted us. She said don't worry you will see them For PayPay's birthday on February 10th.
Feeling better after talking to MawMaw, Jenny and I ate leftover Gumbo, potato salad, Spaghetti, and buffalo wings. It was a great weekend!
