Saturday Date Night in Tulsa/Jenks

We had a great time last weekend in Tulsa,OK. We went to the Family Life Weekend to Remember Marriage Conference.  It was held at the Marriott about 1 mile from the Oral Roberts University. I recommend the conference to every married couple I know...if you are reading this and you are married you should see if there is one near you...they have these conferences all over the US throughout the year. I know there is one in New Orleans in June...hint hint A&E, B&D, D&D, S&B, S&B and et cetera! It is the longest/closest relationship you will ever have with another person, you should invest in ways to make it a stronger relationship.

Saturday the conference stops early for a date night...Jenny and I heard it through the grapes that a good place to go was the Riverwalk Crossing...just south of Tulsa in Jenks. It was a pretty neat place...there were plenty of restaurants, a movie theater, and a marble slab creamery!
A neat thing was when we got there the river was low...almost shallow...but moving...when we were leaving...it was full and deep...and almost rapids! On the weather report that morning, it mentioned the river was going to swell due to flooding in Kansas.

Anyway here are some pictures:
Here you can Kind of see dry land in the towards the middle of the lake:

Here is Jenny next to the river with some dry land in the middle:

Here is a picture of the walking trail near the shops:
