Jasper is 1 month old today!

Hello All,
Jasper was born this morning! He was born at 10:24AM Central time and weighed 9lbs and 3oz. His length is 21.5". It was a very quick labor...we arrived at the hospital at 5:45AM!

40 Weeks...Jasper is Due today!

Long overdue Post and update:

Today Jenny is 40 Weeks pregnant...3 cm dilated and 75% effaced as of Tuesday. Also, we are 2 weeks late on closing on our houses. We are pretty much packed and ready for moving and ready for the baby! Which, we hope Jasper will be ready to come out tonight...as for the house...we are supposed to be closing either Monday or Tuesday.

As soon as the Baby is born, I will take a picture and post on the blog, facebook, myspace, twitter, plaxo, and youtube. Also, I will send out a mass email to everyone asking them to send it to 10 friends within 10 minutes to have their wildest dreams come true.

34 Week update

We only have about 6-7 weeks to go! We are naming him Jasper! During this 6 weeks we are going to be so busy...we are in the process of selling our house and buying another one...we hope to be moved in to our new house before Jasper is born.

Here are some facts about this week in development:

Jasper measures about 19.8 inches (50.3cm) from head to toe and weighs about 5 pounds (2.3kg). He is settling into the head-down position, although it might not be final. Organs are now almost fully mature, except for lungs, and his skin is pink instead of red. Fingernails reach the ends of fingers, but toenails are not yet fully grown. He might have lots of hair by now. Movements are less frequent because of the tight fit.

Jenny:

Her uterus hardens and contracts as practice for labor, known as Braxton Hicks contractions, but she has not had much of them yet. Her pelvis has expanded and starting to ache, especially at the back. Uterus is pushed hard against her lower ribs and her rib cage has been sore, especially when Jasper gets to pushing on those ribs, and her navel is almost completely pushing out as a result of her abdomen being stretched.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNY!!!

She will be exactly 29 years young at 10:00PM tonight. And is now on week 33 of her pregnancy.

Her uterus is about 5.2 inches above her navel right now! It is going to be a good year!!!!
